Information on processing of personal data in connection with diagnostic fault codes.
Your personal data will be processed by us, your selected Partner, as controller for vehicle diagnosis purposes. PSA Automobile SA, 2-10 Boulevard de l’Europe, 78300 Poissy (PSA) processes your personal data for product and quality improvement and continued product development and in case of security related information for product monitoring or product liability purposes.
The collecting of personal data when reading the diagnostic fault code information and the disclosure of the data to PSA are carried out by us, your selected Partner, and by PSA as joint controllers according to Art. 26 GDPR.
Your personal data is processed for the following purposes based on the following legal basis:

Product and quality improvement and continued product development |
The data elements listed in section 1 are mandatory and a contractual requirement. You are therefore obliged to provide the personal data. In case you don’t provide the data, we cannot perform your order.
Your personal data listed in section 1 will be stored by us, your selected Partner, for ten years after the contractual relationship has been terminated. Data mentioned in section 2 and 3 will be stored for 12 years within PSA after data disclosure.
Your above mentioned personal data will be disclosed to the respective IT service providers for administration purposes.
The essence of the agreement according to Art. 26 (2) 2 GDPR
In the context of joint controllership the Parties agree who fulfils which obligations according to GDPR. This concerns in particular the exercise of the rights of data subjects and the fulfilment of information obligations pursuant to Art. 13 and 14 GDPR.
The Parties fulfil their data protection obligations in accordance with their respective responsibilities as follows:
– Within the framework of joint controllership
– We, your selected Partner, are in charge of the collection of personal data when reading the vehicle identification number and the diagnostic fault code information and
– PSA is in charge of the disclosure of the vehicle identification number and the diagnostic fault code information to PSA.
– We, your selected Partner, are in charge to provide the data subject free of charge with the information required under Art. 13 and 14 GDPR in concise, transparent, intelligible and easily accessible form, using clear and plain language. Each party shall provide the other party with all necessary information for this purpose.
– The Parties shall immediately inform each other of any data subject requests. They shall provide each other with all the information necessary to reply to requests.
– Privacy rights can be exercised with us, your selected Partner, as well as with PSA. In principle, the data subject receives the information from the party where the rights were exercised.
Your Rights
As data subject, you have the right of access, right to rectification, right to erasure (right to be forgotten), right to restriction of processing, right to data portability, right to object to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Art. 6 (1) 1 e) or f) GDPR or where the personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes in accordance with the applicable law.
Please note that your above mentioned rights are restricted by law and must be fulfilled by us possibly only under certain conditions.
As vehicle owner, you have the right to refuse making the above-mentioned fuel and energy consumption data available to us (Art. 9 (1) Regulation (EU) 2021/392) on the monitoring and reporting of data relating to CO2 emissions from passenger cars and light commercial vehicles pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/631).
If you want to claim your above mentioned rights please contact us, your selected Partner, regarding the reading of the vehicle identification number and the diagnostic fault code information and fuel and energy consumption data (collection of data), regarding the data disclosure to PSA and also regarding the data processing in the context of the vehicle diagnosis.
